![]() ![]() It did not instill a lot of confidence in us. I took my daughter in to have her ears done but left when a teen about the same age as her came out with a piercing gun in hand, fiddling with the settings or whatnot. ![]() While most accessory shops claim to have well-trained staff on hand to get those first stud earrings in, I am pretty much convinced they just let anyone do it. If you have kids who want their ears pierced never take them to the mall and have it done with a piercing gun. Since I was able to take care of them that first time, I've always been good about keeping them free of infection since then. Since then I have had my ears pieced several more times, including the inner ear on my right ear and the cartilage on my left. It made me really want them and really want to take care of them- the cleaning and other care takes time, and I don't think kids under 10 can take that responsibility themselves. While I understand that people let their kids get it done much earlier much of the time, I am glad she waited. My mother didn't let me get my ears pieced until I was 13. However, I would never recommend anyone doing anything besides the ear lobe themselves. Probably not the smartest idea, but it worked for me- I used a needle and lots of disinfectant. However, I admit that when I got my second and third sets of piercings in my ears, I actually did them myself- it was really popular when I was in high school and middle school to do that. ![]() ![]() Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belgium, Belize, Bermuda, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, Cayman Islands, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, French Guiana, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Guernsey, Honduras, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Jersey, Jordan, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Martinique, Mexico, Monaco, Montserrat, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Republic of Croatia, Reunion, Romania, Saint Kitts-Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, VietnamĪfghanistan, Algeria, American Samoa, Angola, Anguilla, Armenia, Azerbaijan Republic, Benin, Bhutan, Botswana, British Virgin Islands, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde Islands, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Cook Islands, Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas), Fiji, French Polynesia, Gabon Republic, Gambia, Georgia, Ghana, Guam, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, India, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kiribati, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Marshall Islands, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mayotte, Micronesia, Mongolia, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nauru, Nepal, Netherlands Antilles, New Caledonia, Niger, Nigeria, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Puerto Rico, Republic of the Congo, Russian Federation, Rwanda, Saint Helena, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, Suriname, Swaziland, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Togo, Tonga, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Venezuela, Virgin Islands (U.S.I got my first set of stud earrings at the mall, and it was not a bad experience for me at all. ![]()
